Other Flame Retardants
Following are additional flame retardants offered by Commercial Products. If you require any additional information, please Contact Us.
Compro FR-65SS
Compro FR-65SS is a clear, non-halogenated flame retardant for textiles, leather and wood. Compro FR-65SS is durable to dry-cleaning but minimal durability to repeated washings. When properly finished, it will pass most vertical and horizontal flame tests. Other features are good ultraviolet stability, long shelf life, no halogens, fast wetting, color stability.
Enflame 462
Enflame 462 is a product based on ammonium polyphosphate. The crystal modification is phase II. It is manufactured from Enflame 462 by micro-encapsulation with melamine resin according to Commercial Products’ own method. Enflame 462 is a fine-particle white powder with very low solubility in water, even at elevated temperatures. It is completely insoluble in organic solvents. The product is non-hygroscopic and non-flammable. Enflame 462 differs from Enflame 422 in the following properties: marked reduction in water-soluble constituents, even lower viscosity in aqueous suspension, lower heat stability in the temperature range > 300 °C, improved powder flowability.
Enflame 750
Enflame750 is a non-halogenated flame retardant which develops its effectiveness through phosphorus/nitrogen synergism. When incorporated into thermoplastics, it shows high processing stability. Enflame 750 differs in its mode of action from chlorine- or bromine-containing flame retardants by achieving its effect through intumescence. The thermoplastic material foams on exposure to flame. The carbon foam layer so formed protects the polymer through its heat-insulating effect, reduces further oxygen access and prevents dripping of the thermoplastic.
Resin CPX-LF
Resin CPX-LF is a flame retardant, firm resin for nylon, raschel nets, automotive and industrial fabrics, sheers, tulle and maline fabrics. The product falls below OSHA standards for free formaldehyde making it the lowest on the market for free formaldehyde levels. It is a viscous resin offering a fast cure with no powdering when properly cured. Advantages are non-yellowing, faster wetting, long bath stability, ultra-Low free formaldehyde, durable, excellent resilience, increased firmness, greater “spring & bounce”, available in 55 Gallon Plastic Drums or 275 Gallon Totes (return when empty).
Enflame 950
Enflame 950 is a non-halogenated ultra-fine particle flame retardant which develops its effectiveness through phosphorus/nitrogen synergism. When incorporated into thermoplastics, it shows high processing stability. Enflame 950 differs in its mode of action from chlorine- or bromine-containing flame retardants by achieving its effect through intumescence. The thermoplastic material foams on exposure to flame. The carbon foam layer so formed protects the polymer through its heat-insulating effect, reduces further oxygen access and prevents dripping of the thermoplastic.
Applications of Enflame 950
Enflame950 may be used in a range of thermoplastics, especially polypropylene, polyethylene, Nylon 6, nylon 66, and PET or PBT. It is suitable both for extrusion and injection moulding applications. For most thermoplastics, 15-25% of Enflame 950 is used with 3-5 % of our Synergist 100 or 120, depending on the application. Enflame 950 is used in various adhesives and polymers as a flame retardant. It is also available in polyol form to enhance adhesion properties and water
resistance.
Synergist 80, 90, 100, 120
Synergists are powdered polyol/synergists for our Enflame series flame retardants. They promote the char formation and blowing auxiliary for the film formation to make the flame retardants more effective. They also aid in maintaining the properties involved in the process. Each Synergist is for specific applications noted below.

Compro FR-60-P
Compro FR-60-P is a safe, non toxic, non halogen, flame retardant in a polyol Consisting of 3000 molecular weight triol with a hydroxyl value of 54-57 mg. It is designed for flexible foams. Other polyols with our flame retardant are also available and can be used on polyester, epoxy, and a variety of other coatings including plastics in aromatic systems. In aliphatic systems, request Compro FR-60-PA. They provide a variety of features for these coatings outside of excelled flame retardancy such as impact strength, flexibility, and water repellency. On saturated polyester resins cured with melamine such as our Compromel, Compro FR-60-P will impart film thickness and greater chemical resistance. In PET coatings it will facilitate cast and mould properties and reduce stress and strain afterwards.
